These Heart Claddagh Silver Earrings represent love, loyalty, and also friendship. It’s the perfect gift for a loved one or for a good friend.

Legend has it that the Claddagh symbol was originated by Richard Joyce, a Galway native. He was captured and sold into slavery in North Africa. However, while he was there, he was taught his craft by a Moorish goldsmith.

He was finally released after 14 years and returned to his home in Galway where his sweetheart awaited him. While in captivity, he had made what we now know as the Claddagh Ring especially for her. The heart symbolizes love, the hand’s friendship and the crown loyalty.

Celtic designs have been a symbolic tradition for thousands of years and often signifies a true love bond, as is the case with Claddagh: the heart and hands design.

We also have a beautiful matching Heart Claddagh Pendant for these Claddagh earrings. This earrings would make the perfect gift for a good friend or a loved one.
