Your personal data will NOT BE transferred outside of the European Union. The only data which “may” be transferred would be encrypted data regarding payment information and this would be managed solely by the payment processor “ realexpayments.com“ . Realex is fully PCI compliant to the highest level of PCI,  and was one of the first PSP’s in Europe to deliver this with Level 1 certification achieved in October 2003. They appeared on the VISA website as a case study on implementing the PCI DSS.

Information is sent to Realex from businesses via the internet and they connect to financial institutions with whom they are fully certified and approved.

All messages sent to us and the responses from Realax are authenticated using digitally signed digests.

All requests are verified against a legal list of IP address and referring URLs.

How long we keep your data for

Data collected for marketing purposes with respect to the operation of our website are retained for 2 years. If you have consented to marketing by signing up to our newsletter we will retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. You can unsubscribe by clicking the relevant link on any marketing communication/newsletter sent to you or contacting us at any time to ask us to remove you from the database.

Transactional data is retained for 7 years from date of sale period because of a legal requirement on our part from revenue

Prices, Orders and Correction of Errors

Prices displayed on the borujewelry.com site may be quoted in a range of currencies. Boru Jewelry ® may restrict delivery to addresses within certain geographical areas, as specified from time to time.

All Euro & Sterling Retail customers will have 23% VAT added to the price at the checkout. No duties will be charged upon arrival of your package. Any shipments made within the US will not be liable for duties or sales tax as Boru cover these charges. Shipments outside of Europe / US may be liable for duties. Please check with your countries customs for details.

Boru Jewelry ® reserves the right without prior notice to discontinue or change specifications and prices on products and services offered on the borujewelry.com web site without incurring any obligation to you.

Payment Options

Boru ® offer several payment options for our customers. Among those are Wire Transfer as well as all major credit cards.

Credit Card

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Credit card orders can be placed online using our secure server or over the phone with our customer service department. In general, credit card orders will only be shipped to an address on file with the credit card company. However, we will consider shipping to an alternate address as long as our security procedures are met. For security purposes, Boru ® may request additional documentation (such as drivers license, photocopy of credit card, etc) on some transactions.

Money Wire

Customers paying by wire will receive wiring instructions once they have completed the check-out process. We must receive confirmation from our bank that a wire transfer has been completed before items can be shipped.

Boru Jewelry® has taken precautions to ensure the security and confidentiality of the customers transaction and cannot guarantee beyond this. Order Information

We request information from the user on our order form. Here a user must provide contact information (e.g. name and shipping address) and financial information (e.g. credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer’s orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with the user. Boru Jewelry ® reserves the right to request further information from the customer (including for e.g. proof of identification, proof of address (dated within the previous three months of the order), copy of a credit card bill (dated within the previous three months of the order) etc.) before processing an order. All of the addresses on the requested information must match the address you entered for billing on your order.

Returns / Cancellation (Retail)

We offer a 60 Day Money Back guarantee from receipt of delivery. You can return it for a full refund. To organise a return please email us at customerservice@borujewelry.com quoting your order number. Please note that return shipping charges are the customers responsibility. We allow ONE Return/Exchange per person.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept return of customised products, Platinum products, items which have been worn, or have been altered or resized (by a jeweler other than Boru ®) or for hygiene reasons earrings cannot be returned or exchanged. Items must be in their original condition, including all product documentation.

Once we have received your item your refund will be processed within 48 hrs. Please note that it can take 2-3 weeks before it shows back on your Credit Card. Please contact your Credit Card company to confirm the refund. If it is not showing at that stage please contact us at customerservice@borujewelry.com and we will be happy to investigate it.

Exchange – 30 Day Exchange Program

To expedite an exchange for a different product we recommend returning the original item for a refund and placing a new order. Please follow the instructions above for Returning an item. Please note that return shipping charges are the customers responsibility. If we have the requested piece in stock it will be shipped immediately via DHL Express/FedEx Priority. If the requested item is not in stock it will have to be crafted and this can take up to 12 Working Days depending on the product. Boru ® will endeavor to craft the piece in the quickest time possible.

Non-Refundable Items

Unfortunately, we cannot accept return of customised products, Platinum products, items which have been worn, or have been altered or resized (by a jeweler other than Boru ®) or for hygiene reasons earrings cannot be returned or exchanged. Items must be in their original condition, including all product documentation.
Diamond & Gemstone eternity rings with a specific number of stones per finger size, some Silver rings for e.g. our Faith Rings or rings with alternative metals such as Silver with Gold cannot be resized so please take care to order the correct ring size at time of order. Please note that Returns/Exchanges are limited to per person per order.

Boru ®’s Easy 3 Step Process to Return/Exchange an Item

  • Email us at customerservice@borujewelry.com quoting your order number and await our reply BEFORE shipping it.
  • Packing your Return: include all original packaging and documentation for e.g. if your item was delivered with a Diamond Certificate and this is not returned you may be liable for the US$250/E250 replacement cost. Please make sure the item is securely packaged to avoid damage in transit.
  • All returns must be sent by mail only. Items which are shipped via any other courier including but not limited to FedEx, DHL, UPS, TNT will be refused. Make sure the item is fully insured and request a return receipt for confirmation that your item has reached its destination. Boru ® is not responsible for lost or damaged returned shipments.

Cancel or Change an Order

If you would like to cancel or change an order please email us at customerservice@borujewelry.com. We will attempt to accommodate order changes to the extent possible prior to shipping. Some changes will result in a shipping delay. We are unable to accommodate changes or cancellations on special order requests and/or orders that have already shipped. If your order has already shipped please contact us.


All items are presented in a jewelry box unless specified otherwise by the customer. The jewelry box(s) are labelled individually and are then placed in a delivery package/box for shipping.

We provide fast shipping and insurance to all our shipping destinations, regardless of the order amount. All items are securely packaged and fully insured while in transit to your home or office.

Lead Time

Most of our silver products are in stock and will ship within 2 business days. In certain circumstances and depending on the products we do stock some of the pieces required to make a gold item fairly quickly but otherwise it will have to be crafted and this can take up to 10 business days. Most Wedding Bands and Engagement Rings have to be crafted and will take up to 12-15 business days.

If you live in Ireland, the price you pay already includes taxes and you will not be liable for any further duties.

REST OF THE WORLD (Including Australia, New Zealand, Brazil etc.):

All items, no matter the value, on Boru® will be shipped via DHL Express / FedEx Priority at an additional cost of €75.

Customers in the ‘Rest of the World’ category will be responsible for any duties, VAT, taxes or surcharges levied or charged by their country. Please check with local authorities prior to placing your order to confirm any applicable taxes and duties.

Order status and tracking information are available from the Boru ®jewelry.com website by clicking here. For your protection, Boru ® always:

  • Insures and registers all items for their full value.
  • Uses only DHL Express/FedEx Priority services for all international orders, to ensure that we deliver high value packages in the fastest and safest manner.
  • Requires that all deliveries are made to a physical business or home address.
  • Does not allow delivery to PO Box addresses.
  • Requires a signature for all packages.
  • Allows for an alternative shipping address e.g. work address.

We recommend that credit card orders are shipped to a valid address on file with your credit card company, however we will accept alternative addresses as long as our security requirements are met. We can also arrange to have your package shipped to a local DHL/FedEx station for pick-up. You may call our offices at any time for assistance in locating your nearest DHL/FedEx facility.

Product Warranty

Lifetime Manufacturer Warranty

We stand behind our products. If you believe your item has a manufacturing defect you may return it to us for inspection. If we determine your merchandise is damaged due to a manufacturing defect we will repair the merchandise or if we deem appropriate replace the item. If the item is no longer available Boru ® may, in its discretion, replace with like kind.

If we determine that the damage is not caused by a manufacturing defect, then we will notify you and let you know if repair services are available at cost or otherwise.

Please note that slight irregularities and variations in craftsmanship or natural characteristics or internal inclusions, visible or otherwise in coloured gemstones are unique and individual to each item. These characteristics are considered as part of the character of the item, and should not be considered a defect.
Shipping cost to get the item back to Boru ® is the customers responsibility however Boru ® will cover the return costs of shipping the repaired or replacement back to you if found that the item had a manufacturing defect. If we determine the damage is not caused by a manufacturing defect then the customer is liable for all shipping costs involved in returning the item to us and for Boru ® to return it to you.

Complimentary Cleaning and inspection Services

We recommend having your merchandise cleaned every 12 months or sooner especially if it is a gemstone or Diamond piece. Inspections may help prevent the loss of a stone and extend the life of your jewelry. This cleaning and inspection is free of charge on Boru ® pieces. The customer only pays for shipping and Boru ® pays for return shipping. Repairs to your ring mount can also be done at this time at an additional cost.

Conditions and Exclusions

The foregoing Manufacturer Warranty and Complimentary Services are available only to the person who purchased the covered product from Boru ®.

Maintenance, repair, sizing or other services performed by someone other than Boru ® will void your Manufacturer Warranty.

Fine jewelry is not impervious to normal wear, activities or trauma. This is particularly true for rings since hands are regularly subjected to considerable abuse. We do not provide warranties for damage due to normal wear, product loss, loss of stones or theft. Damage or loss that results from failure to obtain repairs necessary to maintain the integrity of the product are also not covered.

Some examples of common jewelry issues that would not be considered manufacturing defects include:

  • Discoloration due to but not limited to exposure to for e.g. chemicals, make up, swimming pools, hot tubs or bathing, perfumes to name but a few.
  • Prongs and precious metals, in general, wear over time and may require ‘building up’ or restoration work as normal wear.
  • Bent, caught or worn out prongs allowing a stone to fall out or be lost due to normal wear or other damage.
  • Lost stone or a stone has fallen out due to chipping or breaking caused by normal wear or other damage.
