Description

These Celtic Heart Silver Earrings are one of our favourite pieces as they has a very bespoke look about them. The earrings are sterling silver and the centre is decorated with a beautiful gold colored Trinity Knot heart.

These Celtic Heart Silver Earrings have an uneven hammered edge and also has a brushed effect.

The Celtic knot is inspired by famous manuscripts such as the 8th-century Book of Kells and also from ornamentation of Christian monuments around Ireland. The Book of Kells is one of the world’s most famous medieval manuscripts. This is because of its extravagant and complex decoration. It has inspired Irish artistic traditions for centuries. Even artists today still continue to find inspiration in its pages.

Celtic knots are engraved on many Celtic crosses around Ireland. These impressive stones still stand thousands of years later.

Celtic knots come in a variety of designs and are ingrained with Irish culture. For over 1500 years intricate knotwork has defined Irish art and metalwork.

Although no one is certain, Celtic knotwork is believed to be symbolic of the never ending life cycle. This is the eternity of love, the cycle of life and the constant changing of the seasons in nature.

We also have a stunning matching Celtic Heart Silver Pendant to complete this gorgeous Celtic look. These earrings would also make a great gift for a good friend or loved one.
