Of all the diamond cuts the round brilliant has the strictest controls and has been around since the 17th century. This 0.50ct diamond is mounted with two Celtic knotwork panels added to the shank.

Celtic knots are most known for their use in the decoration of Christian monuments and manuscripts, such as the Book of Kells, believed to have been created c.800 and housed at Trinity College Dublin.

Most are endless knots, and many are varieties of basket weave knots. There are many meanings attributed to the infinity Celtic knot. Continuity, the intertwining of wisdom and compassion, the joining together of two people forever.
