Boru Jewelry fully respects your right to privacy, and will not collect any personal information about you on this web site without your clear permission. Any personal Information which you volunteer to the Boru Jewelry will be treated with the highest standard of security and confidentiality, strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Acts, 1988 & 2003.

Collection and Use of Personal Information

Boru Jewelry does not collect any personal data about you on this web site, apart from information which you volunteer (for example by e-mailing us or by using our online feedback form). Any information which you provide in this way is not made available to any third parties in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. Boru Jewelry collects information from our users at several different points on our web site and is used by Boru Jewelry only in line with the purpose for which you provided it.

Order Information

We request information from the user on our order form. Here a user must provide contact information (e.g. name and shipping address) and financial information (e.g. credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer’s orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with the user. Boru Jewelry reserves the right to request further information from the customer (including for e.g. proof of identification, proof of address (dated within the previous three months of the order), copy of a credit card bill (dated within the previous three months of the order) etc.) before processing an order. All of the addresses on the requested information must match the address you entered for billing on your order.

Collection and Use of Technical Information

Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. Once the user closes their browser, the cookie simply terminates. For example, by setting a cookie on our site, the user would be able to interrupt a Shopping visit and still return later, and continue shopping and the shopping cart will remember previously selected items for that session, thereby saving time while on our site.

If a user rejects the cookie, they may still view our site. The only drawback to this is that the user will be unable to add items to their shopping cart for later purchase.

Technical details in connection with visits to this web site are logged by our internet service provider for our statistical purposes. No information is collected that could be used by us to identify web site visitors. The technical details logged are confined to the following items:

Sharing Information

We do not share information with any other site or company. We use an outside shipping company to ship orders and a credit card processing company to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes. We partner with another party to provide specific services. When the user signs up for these services, we will share names or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.

Gift Certificate Policy

General Provisions

• Gift Certificates and unused portions of gift certificates should be spent within 18 months from the date of issuance, which is the “spend by” date included on the gift certificate. Recipients of gift certificates will be given an additional 6-month grace period to spend their gift certificates. Gift certificates and unused portions of gift certificates will expire two years from the date of issuance, which is the “expires” date included on the gift certificate.
• Subject to the expiry date referred to above, unused gift certificate balances will be held in the recipient’s account for use on a later purchase. Gift certificates are non-transferable. The original expiration date will apply to any unused balance.
• Gift certificates must be redeemed through the borujewelry.com web site toward the purchase of items listed in Boru Jewelry’ online catalogue. 
• Gift certificates cannot be used to purchase gift certificates.
• Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned for a cash refund. The value of the gift certificates is one cent (.1). 
• Gift certificates are valid only at the time of purchase and can not be applied to an order after it has already been placed.
• If the order exceeds the amount of the gift certificate, the balance must be paid with a credit card.
• Gift certificates and their use on the borujewelry.com web site are subject to borujewelry.com Terms and Conditions and Privacy and Security Policy.
• Gift certificates will be e-mailed to purchasers of the gift certificates upon receipt of payment. Gift certificates may be mailed/shipped separately from other merchandise in the same order. Gift certificates may be e-mailed by Boru Jewelry to the intended recipient (“E-mail recipients”) of the gift certificate on behalf of the purchaser, at the option of the purchaser. E-mail recipients will be notified within 3 days of payment receipt. Boru Jewelry reserve the right to offer paper gift certificates in the future. Such paper gift certificates will be mailed on request upon receipt of payment. 
• Boru Jewelry does not accept responsibility for lost or stolen gift certificates and/or gift certificate numbers. The risk of loss and title for gift certificates and/or gift certificate numbers passes to the purchaser upon our electronic transmission to the recipient or delivery to the carrier, whichever is applicable. If you have any questions, please e-mail the borujewelry.com web site and your query will be dealt with accordingly. 
• Boru Jewelry will have the right to close customer accounts and request alternative forms of payment if a fraudulently obtained gift certificate is either redeemed through the borujewelry.com web site or is redeemed and used to make purchases on the borujewelry.com web site.

If we decide to change our gift certificate policy, we will post those changes on our Homepage so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by way of an email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in a different manner. We will use information in accordance with the gift certificate policy under which the information was collected.

Loyalty Card Policy

General Provisions

1. Use of the Loyalty Card, means your name, addresses, telephone numbers, fax numbers etc. will be recorded by Boru Jewelry as part of the Loyalty Card Scheme Membership. If you do not wish to be part of the Loyalty Card Scheme please email us at admin@borujewelry.com requesting to be removed from the scheme. Then return the Loyalty Card to us or destroy the card.
2. Membership of the Loyalty Card Scheme and use of the Loyalty Card on the borujewelry.com web site are subject to the Terms and Conditions Policy, Privacy and Security Policy as set out in detail on the said web site.
3. Loyalty Cards are worth one cent (.1 cent).
4. The Loyalty Card is not a cheque guarantee, credit, debit or charge card.
5. The Loyalty Card may not be exchanged for cash or other Gift or bonus cards.
6. Boru Jewelry cannot be held liable for Loyalty Cards which have been lost or stolen.
7. Gift certificates must be redeemed through the borujewelry.com web site toward the purchase of items listed in Boru Jewelry’ online catalogue.
8. Boru Jewelry reserves the right to amend our terms and conditions at any time.

Competitions

From time-to-time our site requests information from users via competitions. Participation in these competitions is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Glossary of Technical Terms Used
